Lime Light (South African Timber home magazine) 2/2006
Lime light, an Advertising agency, based in Jan Smuts avenue, Johannesburg was in desperate need for extra office space as their business was rapidly expanding. Choosing between selling and moving to larger premises or extending the existing building was a pressing issue and could not be postpones any longer.
The Existing premises are ideally suited on a corner and moving operations to another area was not what they had in mind. As it was taking up most of the available space on the property, an addition to the property would have used up all the parking area which was already at a premium. The only way to expand and gain the valuable space needed was to build upwards.
It was decided that a double story (vertical Expansion) would be designed and erected on top of the existing building. Industry leaders Witch Rooms with their 25 years of experience in building loft rooms and renowned for its creative approach to projects both at the design and construction stages were appointed.
Years of experience have proved that the timber frame chosen and refined by Witch Rooms is the best option for home owners when adding a second storey.
The Solution was designed by Witch Rooms in its in-house architectural department. A new timber structure of ±80sqm |
